IVE BEEN HIT WITH LAG OVER 20 TIMES IN PAST WEEK AND DISSCONTED WHEN IN MIDDLE OF IMPORTANT THINGS SUCH As: 1.GvG. 2.last battle of HoH. 3.right when about to buy my FoW armor 4. UW 5.tombs

6th the one i got most pissed off by. IN THE MIDDLE OF A GAILE GRAY MEETING WHEN SHE WAS ABOUT TO ASNWER MY QUESTION!

I haven't had any problems. It might actually be because of your ISP in which case it would be just silly to quit GW.

Try opening program and sit at login and see if lightning bolt appears in upper right corner. If so let it go until it stops. Then see if the lag ends.

I agree, lag and err7 has become so bad, my char teleports regurarly and rubberbands all over towns. I wont quit, that would be a stupid reason to, but it is getting quite annoying.

Yep, it's starting to get rediculous. But from what I've read and seen, apparently Anet is working on it. Though how long it'll take is anyones guess...

Yeah, lag HAS become a problem lately >.> try restarting your modem when it starts, it might save you (ive done it, it takes a few mins for it to get back to normal, but you wont err7).

Very minor lag here....

and the reason he wants you to wait until the lightning bolt stops is because thats constantly streaming downloads and so that can cause some of your lag =/

Simply said - go read - tons of people are having lag and err7 issues, not just the OP. It "might" be his connection but I know for a fact that isn't the case with mine. It may not dirrectly have anything to do with the game, but with their servers, however it prevents gameplay for those of us who are suffering the effects severly and its beyond annoying for me. I haven't gotten to really play GW in 2mths because of it - its just getting worse.

go into your guild wars folder and rename your gw.dat file. Restart the game and let it rebuild the entire .dat file before logging in. Works for me.

If you're having lag issues, you need to email ANet/NCSoft support, instead of posting a non-constructive post here. Their tech support is usually very good at solving these types of issues. Ranting about it here will not solve anything.

I understand lag can come from anywhere in the pipeline, but GW (and GW alone) has been increasingly laggy for me during the past couple weeks.

It has been so bad as to be unplayable for the past couple days.

Not this one milias,They will tell you one of two things ( or both) Its a problem on YOUR end ( along with the other hunders of people suffering from it) Or they know about the problem and they are doing everything they can to solve it.

Things i noticed or Thought about.
This 10 time worse lagg and error 7 started after one of the events, cant remember which but i kno very good that after one of the events i started to get this a lott (Err7 which i had never gotten before that!)

What i think is they dont really know what they broke in one of the updates,they basicly have to backtrack all the way back counting from about when they received the first hunders of complain about it.

At that moment they thought it might just be something on the isps,which i can believe,i mean if they dont have a problem it must be at your side right?
But then after more complains post on forums of fansites and all that they started thinking maybe IT IS us.By that time maybe 2/3 weeks had passed,also means atleast 2/3 events/updates.

So they have quite some dirt to go sniff tru.Lets just hope they can find it soon (before Nightfall please) and please dont say its our end, 1 or 2 or even 10 people out of 3 million is ok, but when it starts going in the hunders it might be a possibility its your end.

There are a lot of people having lag in Game this week more then last week, Our guild has lost 3 players in GvG at the same time from lag and each player in a different area. Also in missions, UW, FoW, Alliance Battles and more.
It not just one player or a few there is a lot of people facing this problem at the moment and it doesn't look good.

Ive made countless posts about this and have not had any answers, it is getting very annoying. Ive lagged out in misisons. during pvp such as arena's and AB. Its very annoying, and no its just not me before someone says that, which i know someone will. My whole guild has had problems, the rubberbanding as they call it is happening very often. More often is the lag where u stand still, move in a circle while the game continues around u, and i die. and plz 007 notice STOP TELLING ME TO CHECK MY CONNECTION.

I'm in an international guild and players from three continents experience lag spikes and disconnects simultaneously. This is definitely not a client issue!
I had more err7s in this week than in the whole year before. It's nearly as bad as the summer of lag on euro-servers in july 2005...and that was a problem closer to Anet's side.

Yeah the lag and consistant err7 for the last week and a half or so is just unbearable ive run all the checks and troubleshooting techniques I can think of and still this continues to happen. All I can really think of is maybe anet might of shifted something out of place when they setup for their tournament.

I'm going to chime in here, and while no I don't think leaving idle threats such as "I'm quitting" are productive, I have to say that this has become an increasing problem over the last several weeks. I have thoroughly read the PlayNC Support FAQ's on Err07 and talked with many people. They say it's your issue, that there is an interruption somewhere on your side but with the sharp increase in this error I truly think there is more to it then this. I can't imagine that this many people complaining can be dismissed by ArenaNet as soley being the user after it's been reported so frequently.

I have to concur I have played for over a year and never had an issue until recently. It is really annoying when your screen freezes or you run into a wall and stay there and by the time you have control again you are dead.

I can totally see why someone would quit if it happend all the time. Fortunately it isnt happening so often to me that I cant enjoy playing. I wish what ever changed though would get fixed.

i was hit by 6-7 err7s yesterday. one err7 had me when i was chest running. i opened the chest and a gold blood necro Idol r8 dropped for me was about to pick it and i got f'in err7.

what if that idol got +5 armor (while health is above 50%) and improves skill recharge by 10%? that's like my dream offhand for my level 10 necro.

Error 7 sucks.

or maybe 1 day, we'll see in Guild Wars Store
